 The charming shingle-roof Kihniö church was built in 1917 and designed by Ilmari Launis. The altarpiece was painted in 1938 by Germund Paaer, originally from Kihniö, the first jewel designer for Kalevala Koru.
The church is a road church, open daily in summer, by appointment at other times.
