Welcome
 The
Kihniö trout rapids were built into the Mylly- and Koskelanjoki
waterway. With the Taimenkoski fishing permit you may fish within the
permit limit in the rushing rapids as well as in the calmer parts of
the stream. You may fish with both reel and fly.
The most
coveted catch is lake trout, which is planted into the rapids on
several occasions during summer. Sometimes we import real “linekillers”
to test the strength and skills of tourist fishermen.
Both along
the Myllyjoki and Koskelanjoki rivers leans-to have been erected.
Toilets are available near the leans-to. You can buy permits at the
Kihniö Teboil service station. Prices are 15€/24 h and 10€/12 h. You
may choose the hour when you wish the permit to begin. With the 24-hour
permit you may catch 3 salmon, with the 12-h permit 2/permit. As there
is a limit of 10 fishermen/24 h, we recommend that you book your permit
in advance. If you wish to book the entire rapids area for a larger
group, this is possible, too.
